Mulgrave has beaten Bayswater by 25 points under lights at Bayswater Oval in the opening match of the 2014 EFL season. Mitchell Grubb kicked two goals for the Waters, who started strongly before the visitors prevailed 11.13 (79) to 8.6 (54). Thanks to everyone who came down on the night. After five months of pre-season training and three practice matches we finally start the season once again playing a Friday night game under lights against Mulgrave.
The players and committee have worked hard in the off-season to prepare the club for the upcoming season and we have a very young list that is keen and ready to go.

The Bayswater Football Club has entered two teams in this Sunday's Knox Club Charity Golf Day which, after 18 holes at the Dorset Golf Course, heads back to the Knox Club around 1-2pm for an afternoon of food, entertainment and a variety of fundraising activities in support of the Cancer Council.
We would like to encourage all BFC players, members and supporters to pop in wearing their BFC gear during the afternoon to show our support for the Knox Club. See you there!
The EFL has received confirmation from the Donvale Football Club that it will not be fielding senior, reserve or under-19 teams in the EFL in season 2014.
As a result, Division 2 will now be a nine-team competition with a bye in the fixture where Donvale had previously been.
That means the Bayswater Football Club will have a bye in Rounds 4 and 11 this season.
