A fantastic start to the season last Friday night playing Mulgrave under lights, while the result didn't go our way our young senior group played our brand of committed football for four quarters.

Great debut games by Mitch Grubb and Jack Callanan with both kicking a few goals and providing a great running game, best players were Hayden Schroeder, Ben Barker, Sean Carlos and Cam McLeod.

Saturday saw all players return to the club to enjoy the reserves game, unfortunately we didn't play our best football and were outplayed by a better opponent on the day - all credit to Mulgrave and we look forward to our return games in Round 18 to make amends. Best players Alex Mitchell, Feroz Khan, Lewis Mumford and Trent Michelson.

Away this week against Mooroolbark with both clubs looking for their first win of the season, it's always a tough assignment at Heights Reserve but we are capable of winning when we do the team things.
